A look back at the Cinemed x CinéCréatis partnership

At the heart of cinematic passion

The Cinemed festival, the leading film event in the Occitanie region and internationally recognised, took place from 18 to 26 October 2024 at the Corum in Montpellier. Over 200 films were screened during the week, in the presence of prestigious guests such as renowned actors, filmmakers and directors.

As part of the event, the CinéCréatis Montpellier school offered introductory courses in the film industry. The CinéCréatis team set up a studio at the Corum, complete with green screen, all the necessary equipment and a space dedicated to post-production.

The cinema professions: a fascinating immersion

On the first day, participants were able to discover the basics of filming, with sets, props, lighting and all the professional equipment made available by the school. The next day, they explored visual effects techniques, which they then incorporated into the final cut.

These two comprehensive courses were much appreciated by both the trainees and the CinéCréatis team. The students from CinéCréatis Montpellier, who were present as assistant instructors, had the opportunity to share their passion, to help the participants get to grips with the hardware and software, and to enhance their skills in terms of passing on knowledge.
