In the latest rankings compiled by the experts on the Prepyl platform, Bordeaux emerged as the most attractive city in France for creative activities. Outranking cities such as Paris, Lyon, Nantes and Lille, the city was able to position itself at the top thanks to its cultural and artistic dynamism.
A rich and diverse cultural offering
Bordeaux’s many cultural assets have made it a very attractive city. The city boasts 47 art galleries, putting it in 4th place nationally in terms of the number of exhibition spaces, and 19 theatres, testifying to its dynamism in the performing arts.
Bordeaux is also the number one French city for performing arts events on Eventbrite , a leading platform for cultural events.
A student centre that stimulates creativity
Bordeaux also boasts a large student community, with almost 200,000 students enrolled in art and cultural colleges. These creative and dynamic young people actively contribute to the city’s cultural wealth, making Bordeaux a veritable breeding ground for talent.
