The major platform Discover Film will now house 2 short-films from our 2nd year students. A great chance for CinéCréatis which is now one of the few schools to broadcast films on this platform.
What is DISCOVER FILM?
With over 3 million viewers in more than 216 countries, Discover Film has become since 2016 the best streaming platform for quality short films (5 to 15 minutes) offering a wide selection of art films and new talents.
Created in London, the platform is now available for free on Google Play, App Store, Amazon Fire, Roku and Apple TV. Multi-function application, it enables users from around the world to connect multiple devices, create playlists and download films to watch off-line. A true Netflix for shorts!
CinéCréatis films to discover on this platform
Our young directors are extremely pleased that “Le Naan’tais” and “Superbot” will be made available on the platform.
“Le Naan’tais”, directed by Axel Pedemay and Paul Hünerjäger, gives us a Kolywood vibe in a film on Taj, young Indian student and a young French woman meeting at the heart of Nantes. The charm and originality won them the Jury’ special mention at the 2019 Ciné Grand Prix.
From Emmanuel Pierrat, Pierre André Fontaine and Remy Leroy, “Superbot” does not need any further introductions. This film about a loveable dreamer robot in a short film mixes real-life shots and 3D animation. Selected and shown at several international festivals (Kinoki international University Film Festival, Tomorrow Unlocked Film Festival, Torcymages Festival…) this short film also received the award for Best Narrative at Reel Teal Film Festival, University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
This collaboration is a real opportunity for our short films to gain an international outreach and showcase our students whose talent and creativity is undeniable.
