Workshop for CinéCréatis Lyon students

This month, students at our Lyon campus had the unique opportunity to discover six renowned companies and take part in a variety of practical workshops. Here’s a look at some of the enriching experiences they’ve had.

ROSCO by DMG
The week began with a captivating presentation by ROSCO by DMG. The students went behind the scenes of the company and helped set up the workshop, including decorating and installing the Soft Drop. They then took part in a practical workshop covering the three main areas of the business.

Maluna Lighting
The visit to Maluna Lighting was a highlight of the week. The students were given a full presentation of the company, followed by an impressive demonstration of equipment. They were able to discover The LightBridge reflectors and Pipelighting inflatable spotlights, two innovative pieces of equipment that play a crucial role in creating spectacular lighting.

Transpalux
Transpalux, a key player in the field of lighting equipment rental, opened its doors to the students for an enriching visit. They were able to explore the premises, understand the workings of the lighting equipment rental business and visit the company’s stockroom. This immersion was an opportunity for the students to familiarise themselves with the logistical and technical aspects of equipment hire, an essential link in the audiovisual production chain.

TNP
Some of the students had the chance to visit TNP’s decoration workshop. They discovered the different facets of the company and the decoration workshop, allowing them to appreciate the meticulous and creative work behind the film and television sets.

Panavision
The Panavision presentation immersed the students in the history of this iconic brand. They learned how relationships between producers and rental companies are forged in pre-production and were able to discover a range of professional cameras. This session gave the students a better understanding of the importance of camera equipment in the production of an audiovisual project.

DPA
Finally, DPA offered a presentation of the brand and the history of the microphone, as well as a practical workshop. The students tested micro-cravates and took part in sound recordings, discovering the cutting-edge technologies used in sound capture. This hands-on experience enabled the students to familiarise themselves with equipment that they don’t often get the chance to handle, thus enriching their training.

CinéCréatis film students delighted and enriched

The students had the opportunity to handle professional equipment and benefit from the advice of professionals in the sector. These meetings and workshops not only enriched their technical knowledge, but also strengthened their passion for the audiovisual world. At CinéCréatis, we are proud to be able to offer our students such opportunities, contributing to their future success in the industry.
